Shri Mayaram Surjan was born to Shri Ganeshram & Smt. Champa Surjan on 29th March 1923 at Khaparkheda in district Hosangabad (MP). Khaparkeda was a small village in the fertile plains of River Narmada.
Mayaram Surjan Foundation was set up in 1995 as a Public Trust in the memory of Mayaram Surjan – veteran Journalist, littereteur and activist. He was an ardent votary of the basic values enshrined in the Constitution of India- namely Democracy, Socialism & Secularism.
